World Cup just ended, not probably how most of us expected it to be and Raya holidays have come to an end. So now it’s all about the upcoming SPM exam.
Many of you are still feeling unprepared and nervous about it. We think you know why? Because you have not started your SPM revisions, Right? Well we hope you will be fully prepared before facing the exams which will begin in November. Meanwhile here are five major thoughts that you can relate with if you’re sitting for SPM this year.
1) Don’t think about studying later !
“Still got time lah! Lets study later”
We hear this often from our friends or most of the time our inner selves.
Did you know that in average there will be more than 15 chapters in a subject and if a student is sitting for 9 subjects, he will have to complete about 135 chapters before he sits for SPM!!!. Well, did we just make you feel better? LOL
Start early, Start Now. It is always the best advice you can get when it comes to revising for SPM and also remember to study smart not hard during the days nearing exams.
2) Don’t totally stay away from social media
We are not suggesting wasting hours on your social media profiles but just spend some of your time socializing online. It helps you to relax and reduce stress. At the same time it gets you connected with the latest info going around and it might be useful for your exam such as exam tips and online notes
3) Always ensure healthy competition with friends
It is good to have healthy competition among your friends however it is better to help each other study. Helping a friend on a subject, updating lessons taught in class and sharing important study tips are ideal ways to show good friendship. Like the saying goes,
do good things in life and life will do good things to you.
4) Don’t think it is super easy to go into a college after SPM. We mean Good colleges :)
For those who think it is easy to enroll in any universities after SPM, please….Think again! The fees in certain private colleges are extravagant and continuous to increase every year. Getting good results helps you to secure a scholarship or a reduction in fees. Without proper results, you will face a hard time as you will have to spend more. On top of that, tertiary education is not easy and without proper SPM background, you will face a tough time in university/ college.
5) Don’t try to do your own analysis for SPM
Students often try to make their own guesses and analysis to predict the exam questions. This is good however it is advisable to take pointers and discuss with your teachers as they have vast experience in the education field. It is better to obtain reliable examination tips to help you narrow down your study topics and save time.
Finally, a Secret Formula for success in SPM =
Complete your Revision + Master Answering Techniques + Get Predictions for better focus + Have Confidents to Score + Always have Positive Attitude towards life = PASTI SKOR!
